Distinguished Staff Fellowships

The ORNL Distinguished Staff Fellowship Program is a highly competitive and prestigious early-career research opportunity. Through this program, future scientific leaders are identified and provided with resources and mentorship which will aid them in transitioning to research staff at the conclusion of their initial three-year fellowship terms.

Postdocs

Postdoctoral scholars play an important role in ORNL’s success. The ORNL Postdoctoral Program offer access to some of the nation’s leading scientific facilities, professional development opportunities, and the ORNL Postdoctoral Association, which promotes research and cultural networking. In addition to appointments in all of our scientific research areas, the laboratory provides fellowships through the ORNL Distinguished Fellowships Program.

Internships

Each year, ORNL hosts approximately 1,200 undergraduate and graduate interns and postgrads in the summer, fall, and spring semesters.
