Overview:
We are seeking a US ITER Lead Schedule Analyst who will focus on all aspects of schedule development and analysis for the US ITER Project. This position is in the US ITER Project Controls group in the US ITER Project. As part of our team, you will provide leadership and support in all aspects of project management and controls to support successful planning, execution, monitoring and controlling, and closeout of the US ITER Project and associated subsystems. US ITER is a $6.5 Billion, Department of Energy multi-laboratory project that executes the United States (US) contributions to the ITER Project in France lead by the ITER International Organization (IO). The US is a non-host partner in the world’s largest and unprecedented scientific partnership as part of a seven- member international collaboration which includes the partner Domestic Agencies (DA’s) China, European Union, India, Japan, Korea, and Russia to design and construct a fusion nuclear reactor aimed at establishing the scientific and technological feasibility of fusion energy and support a pathway toward a zero- carbon society. The US ITER project is hosted by Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) in Tennessee. Partner labs are Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory (PPPL) and Savannah River National Laboratory (SRNL)
Major Duties/Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the development, maintenance, and analysis of the US ITER Project scheduling process and products, including utilizing Oracle Primavera, to develop data used for earned value reporting, trending, and forecasting.
- Provide guidance and interface with the appropriate management, technical or support personnel to resolve issues.
- Provide performance information in various formats to support planning, briefings, and presentations and performs monthly analysis and advises management of potential issues.
- Support monthly metrics reviews and reporting to DOE.
- Maintain schedule baseline data. Implement baseline changes as approved, ensuring historical information is retained.
- Develop, implement, and/or maintain project management tools, systems, processes, reports, and solutions, as needed or requested.
- Provide innovative solutions to project controls issues including activities such as performance metrics, improve and maintain project schedule quality, baseline maintenance and “what-if” schedule analysis.
- Support various project reviews, including Independent Cost Estimate/Reviews, Independent Project Reviews, Earned Value Surveillance Reviews, and peer reviews.
- Maintain project management systems and processes consistent with applicable Federal Regulations governing DOE projects, specifically DOE Order 413.3, and ORNL policies.
- Assist in developing and presenting training on project management systems, procedures, policies and standards, and assessment practices

Basic Qualifications:
- BS/BA in project or construction management, business, engineering or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in successfully performing project controls duties.
- Experience managing/working with Oracle Primavera.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent project management certification.
- MS in Project Management of similar field.
- Ten years of project experience working with DOE projects within the Office of Science portfolio.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently and to participate creatively in collaborative teams across the laboratory.
- Ability to function well in a fast-paced research environment, set priorities to accomplish multiple tasks within deadlines, and adapt to ever changing needs.

If you have not resided in the U.S. for three consecutive years, you are not eligible for the PIV credential and instead will need to obtain a favorable Local Site Specific Only (LSSO) risk determination to maintain employment. Once you meet the three-year residency requirement, you will be required to obtain a PIV credential to maintain employment.
