Purpose:

We seek to hire a Career Development Consultant. In this position you will develop, implement, and evaluate early career professional development programs and services.

 

Major Duties/Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with EOD team to design, develop, facilitate, and coordinate delivery of early career development programs and services.
  • Utilize project management skills to ensure excellence in execution of programs and services.
  • Manage vendor relationships and contracts.
  • Develop, update, and utilize competency models pertaining to early career staff.
  • Provide consultation to stakeholders on effective development options for early career staff.
  • Provide assessment debriefs to individuals and teams.
  • Consult on development plans for staff members.
  • Conduct needs assessments to identify performance gaps and recommend solutions to address deficiencies.
  • Establish consulting relationships throughout the organization.
  • Identify opportunities to improve ongoing development programs and services.
  • Explore new development opportunities to determine effective solutions and optimal providers, whether internal or external, for programs and services.
  • Evaluate and report the effectiveness of programs and services.

 

Minimum Qualifications Required

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of five years of experience in learning and development activities or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience should include development of materials, instruction, conducting needs assessments to identify gaps, and evaluation methods to assess and improve programs and services.
  • Exceptional presentation skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, and excellent communication skills are necessary.
  • The incumbent must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and function well in a collaborative team environment.
  • Have experience working with information of a business sensitive nature in a professional and ethical manner.
  • Effective interpersonal skills, a demonstrated concern for people, and experience dealing with diverse personalities and backgrounds.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in learning and development, adult education, or equivalent curriculum. 
  • Experience teaching programs requiring vendor certification (e.g., Seven Habits of Highly Effective People, Five Choices to Extraordinary Productivity, Crucial Conversations).
