Overview:
The HR Information Systems (HRIS) Group at Oak Ridge National Laboratory is seeking to hire an HRIS assistant to support HR Information Systemsdata reporting and analytics. Critical to the success and support of HRIS team, you will work directly with key business process owners and subjectmatter experts to maintain and update company HR data, report development and execution and review data quality and integrity, and work with HRBusiness Partners and HRIS Analysts. Major Duties/Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update various data elements within the HR Information Systems.
- Provide support to the HR Business Partners in the operation of HR processes.
- Advise and assist end users to understand HRIS/HCM data, determine optimal reports for data extraction, set report specifications, and performdata quality reviews on reports.
- Design/recommend reports and write data queries. Analyze reports and identify specifications.
- Audit and assess validity of data in the ORNL HCM systems. Recommend system and business process changes to maintain or to increase dataintegrity.
- Provide testing and validation of system configuration and functionality for upgrades, maintenance, and enhancements.
- Create HR business process documents, flow charts, and decision-making documents.
- Develop and initiate training materials. Communicate information on HRIS/HCM business processes.
- Test/validate security role definitions and data accessibility of users in the various roles.
- Maintain a strong commitment to the implementation and perpetuation of values and ethics.

Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor’s or Associates degree and a minimum of one year of experience in one or more functional areas of HR systems or equivalent job experienceworking with HR processes and systems.
- Position requires understanding of HR processes and HR information systems, excellent oral and writtencommunication skills, with an emphasis on customer interaction, demonstrated ability to be highly organized, accurate, set priorities appropriately, andwork on challenging tasks with tight timelines.
- Working capabilities in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required.
- Must have a rapid learning abilityand mental agility to deal with quickly changing technology, perform tasks with limited supervision, a strong customer focus, and with a team orientation,and experience in working with information of a business sensitive nature, with proven ability to meet this responsibility in a professional and ethicalmanner.
Qualifications Preferred:
- Prior HCM system experience with SAP/SuccessFactors (preferred), Oracle, WorkDay, Cornerstone, SABA, or other industry leaders is highly desirable.
