Overview:
We are seeking a full-time Healthcare Data Analyst/ Operations Coordinator for the Health Services Division (HSD) in the Environmental, Safety, Health and Quality (ESH&Q) Directorate. The successful candidate will have strong administrative and operational skills while tracking healthcare data, and managing various medical databases to optimize business operations. The end goal is to help the organization improve the quality of care, lower costs, and enhance patient experience.
Major Duties/Responsibilities:
- Compiling and organizing healthcare data for purpose of analysis and reporting.
- Analyzing data to solve problems using experience and knowledge to deliver optimal healthcare management.
- Understanding data storage and data sharing methods.
- Expertise using and providing oversight of various medical record databases, and scheduling tools, and front desk/reception and call center functions.
- Understanding healthcare business operations.
- Work closely with senior technical staff on technical projects using data to drive solutions and streamlined practices.
- Possessing strong administrative skills.
- Using healthcare data to achieve administrative needs and goals.
- Assist with division management forrmulating strategic and operational goals.
- Converting data into usable information that is easy to understand.
- Communicating analytic insights to management.
- Independently solving technical problems and making recommendations to management through written reports or presentations.
- Other duties supporting HSD needs at the discretion of the Division Director or HSD Group Leader, based on education, training, and experience.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration or a health related field with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Healthcare Administration or a related field
- Knowledge of data management applications
- Proficiency managing electronic medical records
- Analytical mindset with good problem-solving skills
- Successful team management experience
- Ability to communicate effectively with medical staff and department leads
- Outstanding organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in conflict management
- Motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently and to participate creatively in collaborative teams across the laboratory
- Ability to function well in a fast-paced research environment, set priorities to accomplish multiple tasks within deadlines, and adapt to ever changing needs
Special Requirements:
- Physical Requirements: Work involves various physical requirements and working conditions. As such, a pre-hire physical will be required after offer.
