We seek to hire an Instructional Technology & Design Consultant. In this position you will collaborate with EOD staff and stakeholders to design, develop, implement, and evaluate learning solutions for delivery in classroom, web-based, and blended learning environments.


Major Duties/Responsibilities

  • Ability to clearly communicate in oral, visual, and written form to analyze, design, and develop specific training content.
  • Serve as an instructional design lead to create engaging synchronous and asynchronous online learning modules in collaboration with EOD staff and in concert with subject matter experts utilizing best practice and adult learning theory.
  • Ensure that the most current learning technologies and equipment are optimally deployed to support participants, keeping current with and foreseeing advances in learning technologies.
  • Solve complex content or delivery-related issues in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • May lead pre- and post-production of learning events including scheduling rehearsals, managing recordings, and producing follow-up resources.
  • Identify resources that can educate staff on best practices in the area of learning technologies; for example, identify platforms and software that make presentations and sources more engaging and instructionally sound.
  • Ability to serve as an administrator of learning management systems such as SuccessFactors Learning and LinkedIn Learning.
  • Support EOD staff to escalate hardware/software issues as necessary.
  • Facilitate communication with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely completion of new technology integration and timely resolution of technology-related issues.
  • Conduct research and perform data analysis to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of deployed learning elements.
  • Create learning resources in a variety of formats including print, graphics, audio, video, animation, and multimedia to support teaching and learning.
  • Assist with the creation and maintenance of innovative learning spaces.
  • Manage instructional digital resource administration accounts.


Minimum Qualifications Required

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Technology or Instructional Design, or other equivalent curriculum that focuses on learning and development and a minimum of five years of relevant experience working in a team environment developing web-based, classroom and/or blended learning solutions, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Excellent computer skills with demonstrated working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Project, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent interpersonal, consulting, oral, and written communications skills.
  • The incumbent must be reliable, self-motivated, and focused on delivery of high-quality work products and possess superb organizational and time management skills.


Preferred Qualifications

Proficiency in the following tasks or software packages:

  • Adobe Captivate
  • Articulate Storyline
  • Adobe Acrobat Professional
  • Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere, Illustrator, etc.)
  • Experience recording and editing audio and video
