Overview:
The Office of Integrated Performance Management is seeking a Records Analyst to support ORNL’s records program and provide strategic solutions to customers on records management.
Major Duties/Responsibilities:

Identify and implement key records management strategies and initiatives for ORNL’s records program.

Plan and conduct management assessments for elements of records program.

Identify and resolve issues working independently with various subject matter experts (Legal, Privacy Officer, Information Support and Release Services, Information Technology).

Advise customer organizations on interpretation and application of record requirements from DOE Records Disposition Schedules and DOE Order 243.1C, Records Management Program.

Complete and ensure timely delivery of contract deliverables to the Department of Energy.

Facilitate resolution of customer records concerns, advise on alternative approaches to resolve issues, and identify opportunities for improvement.

Provide backup to primary coordinator to respond to Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests to locate and identify responsive research and operational records. Track and report progress and metrics for FOIA requests to management and federal customer.

Manage essential record and records disaster recovery programs.

Apply excellent interpersonal skills within and across organizations to build positive work relationships and to present effective communications to individuals and groups.

Work effectively as a member of a team, as well as independently, as required.

Use Microsoft Office Suite applications for generation of reports and presentations and for data analysis.

Basic Qualifications:

A BS degree in a business, technical, or relevant field with a minimum of five years of experience in records management activities
Preferred Qualifications:
-
A MS degree in a business, technical, or relevant field with a minimum of four years of experience

Working knowledge of federal record regulations
-
Industry certification in records management, information governance, change management, or other applicable area
Special Requirements:
-
Q or L clearance: This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a clearance from the Department of Energy. As such, this position is a Workplace Substance Abuse (WSAP) testing designated position. WSAP positions require passing a pre-placement drug test and participation in an ongoing random drug testing program.
