The Talent Engagement and Mobility division of Oak Ridge National Laboratory is seeking a highly motivated and self-initiated individual, with excellent organizational and interpersonal skills to administer the relocation and off-site assignment programs.  This position requires extensive communication and coordination of services and demands a high level of attention to detail and interaction with internal and external clients.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:    

  • Ensure a positive relocation experience for new hires, through proactive communication and strong governance of the end-to-end relocation process 
  • Manage relationship with external relocation service provider to ensure seamless employee relocation and assignment management including handling escalations as needed. 
  • Maintain strong partnerships with internal stakeholders (relocating employees, HR team, legal, business services, managers, etc.) and provide guidance, assistance, and best in class customer service 
  • Educate and counsel relocating employees on relocation benefits and options, including miscellaneous allowances and expense reimbursement.
  • Review and audit vendor invoices and reconcile settlement expenses related to international and domestic moves 
  • Have a thorough understanding of the federal regulations regarding relocation benefits for federal contractors   
  • rack and analyze key metrics and develop reports and program reviews
  • Identify, recommend, and provide methods to enhance, simplify, and optimize existing processes, procedures, and policies for continuous improvements to the relocation program


Required Qualifications:

  • BA or equivalent and 5+ years of hands-on experience working with relocation or mobility programs, preferably in a corporate environment
  • Knowledge of mobility lifecycle processes and methodologies and ability to work with international customer base
  • Exceptional customer service focus, with excellent analytical, numerical, and auditing skills
  • Strong communication, teamwork, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to understand and follow compliance regulations or highly regulated procedures.  
  • Ability to prioritize multiple functions and tasks, including constant reprioritizing tasks and manage work time efficiently.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work self-sufficiently and take initiative
  • PC proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.


Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Relocation professional certification 
  • Experience using and understanding the Federal Travel Regulation (FTR) and Code of Federal Regulations 302 or 41 CFR 
  • Experience overseeing domestic and international moves
