The Information and Process Management (IPM) Division within the Human Resources Directorate at Oak Ridge National Laboratory is hiring a seasoned SAP Functional Analyst. The IPM team identifies time-consuming internal processes and then builds solutions that are reliable and scalable for ORNL. Critical to the success and support of IPM, you will provide technical support for all SAP and SuccessFactors HR/HCM modules, work directly with key business process owners and subject matter experts to configure system modules, implement business process solutions, manage projects, provide end user training, and ensure compliance with data regulations and security protocols. If you enjoy a good challenge and want to showcase your experience integrating end-to-end SAP BW solutionswe want you on our team.

 

Major Duties/Responsibilities

 

Reporting Role:

  • Design standard and customized reports within SuccessFactors Workforce Analytics module; Write queries and interface with Power BI and other reporting software.
  • Advise and assist end users to understand HRIS/HCM data.
  • Audit and assess validity of data in HCM.

 

Analyst Role:

  • Analyze and identify data specifications and recommend system and business process changes to maintain or increase data integrity.
  • Document processes, procedures, and provide expertise on overall system configuration and functionality for upgrades, maintenance, and enhancements.
  • Create testing scripts; coordinate and execute user testing plans; test and configure new system releases.
  • Identify user issue trends and initiate training, procedural communications, and other media to improve user performance.
  • Monitor and apply regulatory legal changes affecting business processes or system functionality.

 

System Support Role:

  • Investigate and solve end user problems; instruct users on correct processes or correct HRIS/HCM configuration to meet customer needs.
  • Consult with managers, propose solutions (including system configurations) to meet business process needs and requirements. 
  • Prepare, coordinate, and lead system demonstrations.  Assess interface of ad hoc systems to primary HRIS/HCM.
  • Identify new or changed end user secure roles.  Clarify role conflicts, and coordinate with business process owners on a strategy to manage conflicts.
  • Research, evaluate, implement, and administer third party software tools to streamline business processes and to enhance HCM functionality.
  • Collaborate with implementation vendors to install new modules and train staff on HRIS/HCM business processes, incorporating organizational rules, contract requirements, and other state and federal regulations.

 

Qualifications Required

 

  • Bachelor’s degree and five+ years of increasing responsible work experience in one or more functional areas of HRIS/HCM solutions. 
  • Five+ years of HCM cloud system experience with SAP SuccessFactors.
  • Three+ years of experience managing moderately complex projects, including experience interpreting and analyzing information system requirements, developing complex solutions, and configuring HRIS/HCM system. 
  • Working capabilities in Microsoft Access, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Due to the scope of the job, incumbent must be able to successfully pass a background check and be able to obtain/maintain a Department of Energy Security clearance (which requires US Citizenship).

 

Qualifications Desired

 

Prior HCM cloud system experience implementing modules within Oracle, WorkDay, Cornerstone, SABA, or other industry leader is highly desirable, as well as advanced to expert knowledge and skill in business intelligence technologies, such as data integration, data quality, data warehousing, master data management, data analytics, data mining, querying, reporting, and business analytics.
