As part of our research team, you will lead ORNL’s efforts in R&D and project planning for LEGEND (the Large Enriched Germanium Experiment for Neutrinoless Double-Beta Decay), a next-generation 0νββ search using enriched Ge detectors in an active liquid-argon shield. You will also help lead the ORNL research program on the progenitor experiment, the Majorana Demonstrator. Assuming that performance goals are met, it is anticipated that you will assume overall leadership of the ORNL Physics Division 0νββ program within several years.
