Major Duties / Responsibilities

You will be responsible for coordinating and/or conducting laboratory tests on residential heat pump systems, refrigeration systems, thermal management systems, and other developing experimental activities related to the evaluation of flammable low global warming potential (GWP) refrigerants, lubricants, and material compatibility.  Immediate short-term projects will focus on the improvement and enhancement of current facilities so they can be the state of the art.  Activities will require the candidate to be proficient with instrumenting systems, data acquisition systems, calibration to achieve the desired accuracy, and instructing junior engineers and staff on how to conduct experiments according to the test plan.  You will provide high-level expertise to meet the needs of our advanced laboratories, and mentoring junior engineers and staff as needed.
